KRDO TV Will Feature RF's Play Days in Feb2024

Hello Volunteers! On January 27, KRDO-TV’s News Anchor Heather Skold and the station’s chief videographer, Chappin Everitt, visited the Equestrian Center during our last RF Family Play Day for the month. They spent the morning with us, interviewing the first session’s family and Jeanne Springer to create a feature story on Team RF’s work with military families. Heather has informed us of the air dates (the newscasts within which the story will be broadcast), so we wanted to pass them along to you. NewsChannel 13 has scheduled the story to air FIVE TIMES as well as being posted on their website. Here are the scheduled newscasts showing the story:
  • Friday, Feb 16th – 4pm
  • Saturday, Feb 17th – 8am
  • Sunday, Feb 18th – 5pm
  • Monday, Feb 19th – 6am and Noon

Behind the Scene

The Play Days morning with Heather and Chappin found the arena under three inches of fresh snow and that Colorado blue sky we all love. As you know, that set the stage for some nice pictures in the arena.

The KRDO team appeared to enjoy interacting with the family and Team RF. Heather emailed Jeanne later this note, “It was really special to witness first-hand what you do – your team of volunteers is so compassionate, and it’s evident by the smiles that abound – so many people are being impacted.”

In other words, “The RF Volunteers are awesome!”
