KRDO-TV13 Chief Videographer, Chappin Everitt, spent most of the day with us at Remount Foundation in the USAFA Equestrian Center Arena, discovering what all of us at Remount know…that horses can heal. That healing is needed in the lives of way too many active-duty service members and veterans.

September is “Suicide Prevention Month,” which is a leading mental health issue in the lives of many of our RF Method program participants.

Over 50% of the candidates joining the RF Method report suicidal ideation in the last 6 months, most of whom have attempted suicide at least once.

The suicide rate amongst our military community is quite disheartening. Remount Foundation exists to drive that rate down by providing hope and healing to America’s Bravest and their families. Mr. Everitt’s video tells the story how horses facilitate the healing our warriors seek.
