Superpower: McKenzie brings colossal energy to therapy sessions and is notable for her gentleness among veterans with TBI and with neurodiverse children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Working with McKenzie positively impacts the participant by reducing stress and resolving behavioral triggers. During their interaction with McKenzie, some non-verbal dependents begin spontaneous verbalization.

Superpower: Cinnamon is widely known for choosing participants from across the paddock or arena and selecting the person who needs an emotional release. Consistently, she elicits significant emotional responses. Many veterans say Cinnamon recognized their need to cry, quickly breaking down their walls and facilitating their emotional and stress release.

Superpower: According to several veterans, Blue excels with those affected by TBI or physical injuries. Blue’s ability to impact their neurological conditions yields veterans voicing that they have better cognition in her presence. In one notable instance, she lifted the hat off a veteran with her teeth and then licked the veteran’s surgical scar while the veteran was experiencing an atypical, non-epileptic seizure. Blue continued the behavior until the seizure resolved.
